The CPU selection impacts the mobo options significantly. I’m not locked into any particular CPU. Some things I’m thinking about:
- find a good price / performance ratio
- heat (I don’t mind fans, but it needs to work in the trunk)
- it needs enough speed for convolving 4 channels with reasonable delay. < 5 sec, acceptible. < 3 sec = goal.
